A happy little haunt in the West Village that serves tasty homey American food. The vibe is super kid-friendly but unfortunately like many small quaint eateries in NYC the space makes it tough with a stroller.

Sunny and I ventured out on a gorgeous Saturday morning to meet up with my close friend from college Josh (otherwise known as Joshy). A dad of two small kiddies he was keen to meet bright and early (before the crowds!) for a quick breakfast. We chose The Grey Dog’s West Village location. The Grey Dog is adorable, homey and friendly….but not great to maneuver a stroller in. That said you could probably manage one, parking it in the alcove by the bathroom. What The Grey Dog lacks in stroller space it makes up for with a kid-friendly vibe and solid kids menu which features standard tantrum-averting faves like Mac+Cheese, Pancakes and Scrambled Eggs. In addition they were quite flexible with sides making Sunny a smaller portion of the mixed berry bowl which wasn’t on the kids menu.
